I have recently become acquainted with a Taiwan basketball sensation by the name of Jet Chang. Jet Chang is known as Chang Tsung-Hsien in his hometown of Ilan,Taiwan. Jet Chang has played in Taiwan for the “Chinese Taipei National Basketball team” before moving on to college in Hawaii.
While in Hawaii, Jet Chang played basketball for BYU Hawaii where he led them to the Championship game scoring an unbelievable 43 points in the semifinals of the D2 tournament against West Liberty. He graduated this year from BYU Hawaii but unfortunately, was not drafted by the NBA.
However, Jet was invited to play on the summer league team Minnesota Timberwolves. I am truly hoping that Minnesota sees the wonderful talent that Taiwan superstar Jet Chang has to offer the NBA! With the success of Taiwanese American, Jeremy Lin I am hoping the NBA is now opening its door to even more great Taiwan talent!
